A new device will not activate under the licence

True Key will not unlock
True Key uses your master password plus a second factor — often the trusted device itself. Losing all trusted devices at once is unrecoverable by design, so add a second factor such as email verification while you still have access.
Scans slow the machine to a crawl
Schedule full scans overnight and leave real-time protection to handle day-to-day work. On older mechanical hard drives a full scan is genuinely I/O-bound and there is no setting that removes that; scheduling around it is the fix.
